Children of Lir

Children of Lir by Adrian Scanlan
Primary School Tour, May – June 2014

This all new production is suitable for all students from 1st-6th class, (although there is nothing unsuitable for younger students if small schools wish to take the show) hosts a different cast and script to the last Children of Lir we performed six years ago. It is approximately 45 minutes in duration with a questions and answers session afterwards where the cast and crew will explain how things are made and why we choose to do certain things etc during the performance.

We will tour County Cork from Monday the 26th of May 2014 to Friday the the 6th of June 2014. With this exciting cross-curricular spectacle we aim to wow and delight our young audiences. Through the use of an original script, puppetry, stage combat and music, the students will get a chance to enjoy the magic of a live performance which will hopefully awaken an interest in the performing arts within them.”. We aim to bring the ancient Irish tale of “The Children of Lir” to life in a new way, offering many children a cultural and theatrical treat that they otherwise may never encounter.
